This week's work and what's underneath it
Math, reading, writing, science, and history for K-12 students. We finish this week's assignments and teach the earlier idea that's making them hard. Students who are ahead can start next year's material.

For the student who knows the material and still can't get started, or gets an answer and never asks if it makes sense. We work on their own assignments: reading the question, planning, and checking the answer.

SAT, ACT, AP exams, and placement tests. A practice section shows me where the student is losing points, and the plan works backward from the test date.
→ 04 Passion ProjectsTurning an interest into something real
A student picks something they want to make or figure out, like a game, a small shop, or a website. I help turn it into a project, and the math, writing, and research it needs come along with it.
→ 05 Motivation & MindsetWhen a student has stopped trying
For the student who has stopped trying. They're still learning, just not what school is asking for. I find out what's in the way and what they care about, and start there.
→ 06 Specialized SupportTeaching adapted to learning and attention needs
Tutoring for students with ADHD, dyslexia, an IEP or a 504 plan, or no diagnosis, just a sense that school isn't working for them. I read what you have and adapt the teaching to the student.
→ 07 Guitar LessonsFor beginners of any age
Beginner lessons for kids, teens, and adults, one-on-one or with a friend. We start with a song the student wants to play and learn chords, rhythm, and theory on the way there.
→ 08 Leadership SkillsLearning to work with other people
Running a group project, speaking up in class, following through when other people are counting on you. Students practice these on their own projects and schoolwork, alone or in a small group.

Siblings and friends can share sessions, which costs each family less. Similar goals matter more than being in the same grade.

I also coach teacher candidates through the CalTPA: reading the requirements, planning the work around a placement, and thinking through your own teaching.
